Leading by stepping back
By William Lilley , February 2015
William Lilley's research, Leading by stepping back, explores the spread of ‘asset’ or ‘strengths’ based thinking across housing, adult social care and health sectors. An approach that seeks to reimagine our economy and public services around the strengths and skills we have as opposed to our needs or deficits, William explores the many different avenues to taking this approach from theory to practice.
As part of his research William organised a roundtable to explore the subject in partnership with the National Housing Federation. Below are a series of short films recorded at the roundtable, with perspectives from ABCD practitioner Cormac Russell, Heather Henry of the NHS Alliance, and William Lilley.
