Angela Ellis is the Head of Community Investment for Raven Housing Trust, a housing association covering East Surrey. As a senior manager and leader she is responsible for designing and delivering the organisation’s community investment strategy with the themes of education and training, young people, health, employment and skills, financial and digital inclusion. Over the last five years Angela has worked to establish Raven as a ‘placeshaper'; an agent of change within the communities where they operate, building strong partnerships with social sector organisations across East Surrey to give local people better opportunities and to ensure that services are joined up and tailored to local needs. The particular focus for the current strategy is employability, and Angela is also heading up a European Social Funding partnership project to support people in temporary accommodation to get closer to the job market.
Angela has worked in a variety of different roles in housing over the last 14 years, and her previous role at PCHA was that of Resident Involvement Manager, with responsibility for ensuring that tenants were able to influence decisions at a strategic and operational level.
Angela lives in Surrey with her partner and two year old twin boys.
