Clore Social Leadership launches ambitious new series of programmes in bid to boost sector leadership
As a part of its ambitious plans to transform leadership within the social sector, Clore Social Leadership has unveiled a new series of programmes to support managers and leaders at all stages of their leadership journey. The move comes in response to the changing environment faced by social sector organisations and a widespread recognition of the need for shorter, more focused leadership development and training opportunities for leaders at all levels.
The new series of programmes have been created using insights from nine years’ leadership development experience and include: Discover, a new four-week self-directed programme aimed at those new to leadership; a six-month Emerging Leader Programme for those with three to six years’ experience following two highly successful recent pilots; a twelve-month Experienced Leader Programme for leaders with six to ten years’ experience; and a series of evening Masterclasses for CEOs and senior managers.
Commenting on the announcement, Shaks Ghosh, Chief Executive of Clore Social Leadership said: “We are hugely excited to be launching a new wave of leadership programmes, expanding our offer to reach an even greater number of leaders within our sector. We know that effective leadership leads to stronger, more resilient and successful organisations and we need to invest in leadership at all levels, from those at the very beginning of their leadership journey to emerging leaders, senior management, CEOs and Trustees.”
The announcement follows Clore Social Leadership’s recent success in securing a £500k Grant from the Big Lottery Fund to be a facilitator for leadership in the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector in England.
Louise Drake, Director of Programmes and Innovation at Clore Social Leadership commented: “Individuals and organisations in our sector are seeking relevant and responsive opportunities to learn and develop that they can fit in alongside their existing commitments. As a result we’ve structured our programmes to enable a more flexible approach to learning and are utilising a range of digital tools to make our programmes more accessible.”

Our series of five leadership masterclasses provide senior leaders with an invaluable opportunity to gain insight into advanced leadership topics, engage in debate with other senior sector leaders and form strong peer connections.
