Elli Moody is Head of PR and Advocacy at Girlguiding, the largest charity for girls and young women in the UK. She has worked for eleven years in communications and public affairs roles in charities and NGOs working locally, nationally and internationally. She’s an enthusiastic advocate for youth voice, gender equality and women’s rights.
At Girlguiding, Elli leads the teams delivering public relations, advocacy and research seeking to change perceptions of the charity, build its expertise in girls’ views and support and empower girls and young women to use their voices to influence public policy and social change. Elli is leading the charity’s work to create a national girl-led advocacy network to support its young members to campaign together locally and nationally on the issues that really matter to them.
Prior to joining Girlguiding Elli worked at UK Feminista, a not-for-profit supporting grassroots feminist organising across the UK. Whilst there she led its policy and campaigning activity building productive alliances with groups and organisations across civil society and focused on facilitating opportunities for political participation.
