Going Round the Houses
By Njoki Yaxley , November 2015
Njoki's research was inspired during a chance conversation about a client who was suffering from poor mental health. The social housing professionals were struggling to engage in meaningful conversations with health professional counterparts to help the client. This prompted questions as to why this was the case and whether these poor experiences were a regular occurrence.
This research uncovers the truth about the poor connections between social housing and health professionals. It maps out emerging issues and identifies opportunities to improve connections and the benefits of doing so.
It shows that there is a quiet revolution taking place on the frontline and identifies five key emerging trends that are impacting on social housing and health professionals.
