Jacqui Penalver is the Transformation Director at Papworth Trust, a disability charity, leading development and delivery of a three year transformation programme. Jacqui is responsible for delivery of major service re-design, organisational reconfiguration and leadership of cultural change, and enabling the Trust to drive social change.
Jacqui has worked in leadership roles at Scope, Sense and the MS Society, developing strategy, impactful governance and organisation performance, and is particularly interested in the differing priorities, approaches and cultures of organisations and the role leaders play in these.
Passionate about the rights and equality of disabled people and the role of the voluntary sector in social change, Jacqui wants to continue work with groups to identify and change barriers that prevent them from realising their potential, both tangible (e.g. access to employment, housing, care) and intangible (attitudinal barriers).
Jacqui has also worked in homelessness, mental health and with disengaged young people and has voluntary roles as a school governor and as a committee member at Kent Students Union and the Royal College of Nursing.
