Kamaljit Thandi worked in front line child protection teams for Local Authorities before joining the NSPCC in 2008. She is currently the Head of Service for the NSPCC Helpline.
As the Head of Service for the Helpline, she is responsible for the day-to-day operation in ensuring the organisation answers as many contacts coming into the service through both voice and online channels. The Helpline is a child protection service for any adult and professional who has a concern about a child. They also manage dedicated helplines for specific issues such as female genital mutilation and assist external partners such as the police in intelligence operations such as Operation Yewtree.
