New event series launches for the social sector: Leaders Now
Professor Nick Hardwick, Rushanara Ali MP and news presenter Jon Snow have been announced as guest speakers for a new event series in autumn from Clore Social Leadership. Leaders Now is a series of breakfast meetings aimed at the social sector and is run in partnership with The House of St Barnabas; the Soho based charity, whose not-for-profit members’ club is run as a social enterprise to help London’s homelessness back into lasting work. These influential public figures will share insights into their leadership journeys, and guests will have the opportunity to engage in discussion and question and answer sessions in an intimate setting.
Professor Nick Hardwick, Chair of the Parole Board and former Chief Inspector of Prisons, will be the speaker at the first Leaders Now event on Thursday, 6 October 2016, at The House of St Barnabas, where he will share the challenges he has encountered on his leadership journey and speak about the attitudes to risk and failure. In the upcoming events, Jon Snow and Rushanara Ali MP will provide anecdotes and stories about their careers.

The free breakfast meetings will be a networking space for those interested in, or working for the social sector. Through the partnership with The House of St Barnabas the events will bring together current and aspiring leaders to encourage new thinking and collaboration about social and ethical leadership.
‘We are thrilled that these hugely prominent figures are joining us for our brand new event series. Guests to these intimate events will have an unparalleled opportunity to gain real insight into their careers, and borrow leadership lessons which will be incredibly relevant to their journeys. We are also delighted to partner with The House of St Barnabas for the series,’ says Shaks Ghosh, Chief Executive of Clore Social Leadership.
