When Collaboration Knocks...
By Marie Mumby , December 2013
...Open the door!
Marie Mumby set out to investigate why there is so little conversation and collaboration between leaders in the private and social sector.
Marie found a lack of exposure to be a major reason behind preconceptions, so she tested the concept of a 'cross-sector blind lunch' as a way of breaking down stereotypes, bringing people together and creating a common language.
The eight participants were employees of Accenture, Procter & Gamble, NECA (North East Council for Addictions) and The Cyrenians UK, and are all based in Tyne and Wear.
