Nicola Kidston is the Director of Development and Partnership at the Foyer Federation, a national charity working to provide a positive induction to adulthood for young people who can’t live at home.
Nicola leads the Foyer Federation’s work to develop, replicate and learn from programmes across their networks. This includes shaping the ‘Advantaged Thinking’ approach, which sees young people as having assets to develop with energy to lead and spark change. She drives the development of the new ‘TrustYouth’ movement, an alliance of organisations promoting Advantaged Thinking as an alternative way to work with young people.
Nicola previously managed a successful city-wide volunteering project in Sheffield and spent time volunteering overseas. She is passionate about enabling young people to realise their dreams, having directly supported and advocated for young people and families whilst working for Leeds Youth Offending Service.
