Penny is the Head of Communications for national domestic abuse charity, SafeLives. She works on innovative projects such as pilots that challenge perpetrators of abuse, research around public health and domestic abuse, and how to provide wraparound support to vulnerable families. Penny is passionate about use of data, technology and survivor involvement to transform our approach to domestic abuse. She is interested in partnerships and collaborative working with other organisations outside of the domestic abuse sector.
Penny has an MA in Investigative Journalism from City University, London and a BA in History from the London School of Economics. Before SafeLives, she worked for charities such as Comic Relief and Spirit of 2012 on a range of projects including sport for change initiatives, and funding streams for the empowerment of women and girls in the UK.
