Volunteering: Scotland's changing paradigm
By Susan Murray , January 2014
Susan Murray explores how demographic and social change will affect the future of volunteering in Scotland. The starting point for this research was Susan's growing personal interest in the demographic and social changes likely to affect all of our futures and the ways in which we live our lives.
Working with Scotland’s Volunteering Roundtable and with the support of the Scottish Government, Susan held a research event to investigate the level of awareness of the current volunteering landscape and aimed to increase understanding of the impact of the likely social change ahead. The raw survey data was published live during the research event and then disseminated to all attendees and via the internet immediately afterwards. This document brings together the raw survey data with the themes from the small group discussions.
