Tessé is a consultant in leadership, management, governance and personal development, and Director of Tessé Akpeki Associates Ltd. She specialises in relationship management for leaders, trustee boards and change management programmes.
Tessé heads Bates Wells & Braithwaite London LLP’s OnBoard Programme. For 13 years she played a role in shaping the governance programme at the National Council for Voluntary Organisations.
A qualified lawyer, coach, facilitator, chartered secretary and mediator, she brings a practical slant to the work she undertakes. Working with over 1,000 voluntary and community organisations, she works both nationally and internationally.
She has authored over 20 governance books and blogs for Civil Society. Her recent contribution is on behavioural leadership and relationship management.
Tessé is currently a governor of International Students House, Chair of its Governance Advisory Committee, Patron of Knowledge Peers and an Ambassador of Young Charity Trustees (YCT).
She's is a frequent speaker at governance and leadership events and has been invited to speak in Europe, Australia, South Africa, Jamaica, Bermuda, the United States and West Africa. She is an active member of the Governance Forum which debates current and emerging trends and developments in governance and leadership.
