Bally Sappal is a consultant specialising in cross sector collaboration. Her clients include British Council, NHS England, GlaxoSmithKline and Big Lottery Fund. She has initiated cross-sector collaborations for The Big Lottery Fund involving corporates, charities and funders to increase their social impact.
Whilst on secondment and as a consultant with the Big Lottery Fund she has reviewed their international and private sector strategies. She has authored several publications and articles on Corporate Social Responsibility and cross-sector collaboration. This includes a report on how The Big Lottery Fund report and other funders could increase their international social impact by cross sector collaboration.
Bally has over ten years of leadership experience including leading the strategy to support unemployed young people across London for CLC Building Futures. She led seven projects to support 4,000 disadvantaged young people NEETs (Not in Education, Employment and/or Training) which received approbation from the Government by being developed into a national five year pilot. She has led national prison resettlement programmes for the homeless charity, Depaul Trust.
She sits on the Board of Trustees of homeless charity Connections at St Martin’s in the Field, and acts as Secretary to Odanadi UK, advising on anti-trafficking initiatives. At Odanadi Seva Trust, she has supported the establishment of a social enterprise bakery in India for those affected by human trafficking. She also facilitated the first high profile anti-trafficking state network in Karnataka, India across 26 NGOs.
She has completed courses at The London Business School on Social Entrepreneurship and Harvard Business School on Corporate Responsibility. She was selected out of 17 globally and a finalist for the EBS Social Innovator, Intel Summer School for Social Innovators.
