Type of Fellowship: General
Year of Fellowship: 2010
Update March 2010
The last six months on the Fellowship have been intoxicating – “intoxicating” because of the amazing people I have met, and the numerous opportunities and doors that have been opened to plot and navigate my personal journey to reflect, think, learn and grow as a leader.
The 360 appraisal provided a comprehensive and rounded assessment of my skills and competence which has helped to affirm my strengths and identify areas for development. The residential was an intensive experience crammed with a programme of presentations, speakers, visits, group work, etc. It was like being on a rollercoaster of exploration and learning which was exhausting and exhilarating at the same time!
Learning is becoming contagious – as I learn more, read more, and discuss more, the more ideas and thoughts get sparked and shared. I have yet to settle on a research topic as there are so many questions that I want to explore; fortunately, my coach is there to help me marshal and hone these swirling ideas into a research question which is pragmatic.
I am thoroughly enjoying my Fellowship – bonding with the other talented Fellows and thrilled by what lies ahead: new risks, new challenges and new opportunities
