When I was growing up, I wanted to be a professional sports person. I wanted to sprint like Linford Christie or play professional 'soccer' in the USA. Now I realise that my 'work' and what I'm being is not solely about what I do to get paid.
Rather, like many others, I contribute to the world through the unpaid ways that I choose to give my time and skills. Over the last 10 years of finding ways to help out, I've learned so much from giving my time as a telephone counsellor at ChildLine, coach educator at TackleAfrica, London 2012 GamesMaker and youth mentor at the Wilderness Foundation.
