Type of Fellowship: Specialist
Year of Fellowship: 2010
Specialist Fellowship funded by NHS Institute for Innovation & Improvement
Update August 2010
Spending time investing in oneself can feel a little self indulgent. However, being a Clore Social Fellow legitimises the opportunities spent in active self development, and also the more reflective moments as learning and personal growth are embedded.
The fully accredited coaching course (generously funded by the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement, who fund my Fellowship) has been the first of my “permissible indulgences”. It has neatly combined meeting senior professionals from other sectors, learning about myself, and adding to my portfolio of skills to use in the workplace; and I am using them!
Alongside this has been the coaching and mentoring that CSLP fund. These have been invaluable, particularly to stave off the self doubt that comes along with the inevitable change that the focus on self brings.
Looking forward, there is a myriad of opportunities. Selecting the best opportunities will be the next challenge for which I will need the support of the CSLP team.
