Year of Fellowship: 2011

Update April 2012

The past four months of the Fellowship has been a remarkable reflecting and embedding time for me. As I had left a working environment a year ago, my secondment had been a great opportunity to see how everything which I had learnt through Clore could be applied within a professional environment.

Having finished my three month secondment in the USA with Purpose and then with The Sum of Us, and after a much-needed holiday, the early months of this year gave me the space to think about what I had learnt, and how this informed my world view, my understanding of how you achieve social change, and my relationship to the systems and powers that operate within the world.  To me these are honest questions that everyone who works to make the world a better and fairer place needs to ask themselves at some point on their journey.

I am now working to finish my research on the impact on public lobbying in the House of Lords, which looks to be both interesting and pertinent. I am also starting to think more strategically about my next professional step.
