Gemma is Development Director for Right to Succeed, a highly innovative education charity founded in 2015 to develop, pilot and scale solutions to education inequality. Gemma recently completed a year as a Policy Fellow with the Department for Education where she advised on the use of blended finance and social impact bonds.
Prior to this Gemma was Head of Social Finance at the Young Foundation where she designed and launched the Young Academy, a social incubator and £1.5m fund providing growth capital to early stage social ventures working in education. Gemma has written several reports on impact investment and investment readiness, including the 2013 report on Social Investment in Education on behalf of Big Society Capital and Impetus PEF.
Gemma is a Fellow of the ICAEW and an accredited Relative Dynamics coach.
