RNIB-funded Fellowship for a registered blind or partially sighted individual
Update September 2011
My coaching sessions are now completed. Working with my coach has been very helpful to clarify my thinking about my life, my priorities, the way I think about time, the way I think about objectives and goals, where I fit into the world and much more. Not all these things are directly attributable to our sessions as all of the components of life dovetail to produce the person that is me, but, after initial scepticism about the value of coaching, I am very grateful for our time together.
Francis Aldrich has become something of a mentor in the research context as my research project nears completion. Her knowledge and experience of the area, combined with her open-minded attitude, allows me to receive her wisdom easily, and she has been a great help in the last couple of months.
With fourteen interviews completed and transcribed (and a couple lost to semi-accessible technology), I am currently involved in writing up my research project. I seriously underestimated the time and effort this would take and have just had a week’s holiday, but I hope to finish the first draft in the next few days and am hoping that the final report will follow soon after.
I have booked myself onto the Relational Dynamics course and will look seriously at some facilitation courses over the next couple of weeks to make sure that I get the most out of my training budget.
