Jonathan is Director of Finance and Resources for JDRF, a medical research charity focusing on type 1 diabetes. Jonathan has held a number of similar central management roles in fast growing charities. These have combined financial and governance responsibilities with that for other key internal operations. He has considerable experience of strategic development in the context of dynamic organisations, while managing effective teams and departments with a strong focus on value for money.
Jonathan is an active member of his local Anglican church. In 2001 he and a group of friends established the Educational Frontier Trust which funds secondary schooling for children from pastoralist and other communities in Northern Kenya. In 2012 he was appointed trustee of the Local Trust, created that year by the Big Lottery Fund with an endowment of £215m to nurture resident-driven community development in England. Jonathan is lead trustee for the Trust on financial matters, and chairs the Audit and Finance Committee.
