Kate Lee is a 2010 Clore Social Leadership Fellow and has been CEO of Myton Hospice since December 2010. She developed her interest in transparency whilst Director of Strategy at British Red Cross and as a member of ACEVO s ImpACT coalition. This article is produced as part of the practice based research aspect of her Fellowship. Kate is new to publishing articles, although she has undertaken academic research as part of her MBA. The learning objective of the article was to try and write something in a management magazine style, which should be accessible to a wide audience. She wishes to point out her own organisations website is still under-development to improve their transparency!
