Michael Cooke believes that numbers can make the world a better place - his head in Excel and his heart in the social sector.
He is currently Head of Analytics at Marie Curie Cancer Care, driving the charity to put evidence and analysis at the heart of how it runs its services for people at the end of life, and how it campaigns for improved services across the UK.
Over the years, Michael has worked and volunteered in front line roles for mental health, learning disability and homelessness charities, as well as teaching English abroad. His time at the Leatherhead Clubhouse, a user-led mental health day service, ignited a passion for user involvement and harnessing innovation to deliver social change. His curiosity to explore different ways in which he can make a difference has led him full circle from charities, to academia, then on to the public sector and finally back to charities. Michael thrives on challenge and wants to take the leadership skills he has accumulated so far to the next level and become the best leader that he can be.
