Type of Fellowship: General
Year of Fellowship: 2010
Update March 2010
The Clore Social Leadership journey started with much energy and excitement last October. Initially my first task was to reflect on what becoming a Fellow on this Programme really meant and the opportunity it represented. The Programme so far has enabled me stop and think, and have time to really listen to the views of people around me about my higher potential as a leader.
The Programme has already opened a number of doors (including an invitation to meet the Prime Minister at number 10) and a number of important personal connections have emerged including meeting Professor John Zeisel who has agreed to be my mentor for the Programme. I have enjoyed being part of facilitated learning spaces with the Fellows and specifically looking at what my learning needs are after many years of project management and delivery.
The next stage in the Programme is for me to conduct a scoping review of the literature connected to people living with dementia accessing and benefitting from nature and green spaces. The journey ahead with the Clore Social Leadership Programme is increasingly becoming clearer and more targeted as the energy and excitement converts to action.
