Type of Fellowship: General
Year of Fellowship: 2010
Update August 2010
2010 is proving to be a pivotal year for me. There have been a number of highly significant connections that have arisen through the Clore Social Leadership Programme to date. Professor John Zeisel continues to be a source of inspiration and guidance as my mentor for the Programme and is also hosting my secondment at the Hearthstone Foundation in Boston in October.
Rachel Hine, my research supervisor at the University of Essex has been a source of support and expertise about all things to do with the practicalities of research, but also on 'green exercise.' The three phases of my research are nearing completion with a literature review completed with an associated article written for publication, due out in December. The second element is an online experts’ questionnaire, which went live in July. I recently completed a filmed 'walking interview' which comprises the third element of the research looking at the benefits of green exercise for people living with dementia.
Two recent residentials (with the Leadership Trust and with the Windsor Leadership Trust) were both empowering and validating experiences for me as a leader.
