Sanjiv is a researcher, author and social entrepreneur committed to greater equality, participation and interaction in society. His recent PhD is a study of contemporary policy debates on nation, multiculture and race equality and the role of Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) social sector organisations in influencing this agenda. His mission is to innovate for and develop new approaches to broad-based alliances for equality across society.

Sanjiv began his career at the new economics foundation (nef) think tank where he and colleagues challenged received wisdom on a range of social and environmental issues for example pioneering practical new approaches to public participation in and ‘alternative’ measures of progress for local communities, social sector organisations and nations.

Sanjiv has been a strategic advisor to Voice4Change England, the national membership organisation championing the voice of the BME voluntary, community and social enterprise sector and is also a Board member of Charities Evaluation Services – the UK s leading provider of evaluation support for the social sector.
