Announcing our Emerging Leader participants

We are delighted to announce the names of the social leaders who will participate in our Emerging Leader Programme running from June to November 2019.

The Emerging Leader Programme is a 6-month immersive leadership development journey aimed at social leaders with 3-6 years’ experience who are keen to build their leadership capabilities while consolidating their networks within the social sector. Thanks to the generous support of Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BofAML), the programme includes a Youth specialism, offering 9 fully funded places for selected BofAML grantees operating in the Youth sector.

Commenting on the announcement, Andrea Sullivan, International Head of Environmental, Social and Governance at Bank of America Merrill Lynch said:
"We are delighted to support this programme, which plays an important role in nurturing and cultivating effective leaders and helps to equip participants with the essential knowledge and skills to drive the youth charity sector forward.”

As it aims to cultivate a UK-wide pipeline of resilient and effective leaders, the programme also offered subsidised places for individuals working for organisations based in Northern Ireland and Wales.

Building on all aspects of our Social Leaders’ Capabilities Framework, the programme will help leaders become more empowered, focused, and generous, so that they can effectively transform the social sector to meet current and future challenges, and lead social change. Participants will have the opportunity to develop their social leadership abilities and utilise their applied learnings in team challenges to immediately transfer the skills they gain from the programme back into their organisations.
