Meet our new Emerging Leader participants

We are delighted to announce the names of the social sector leaders who will take part in our Emerging Leader Programme running from September to March 2020.

The cohort consists of 20+ leaders working across a variety of UK social sector organisations, including Cancer Research, NUS Wales, Citizens Advice, RAF Families Federation, Mercers Company, KCRASAC, and more. As part of our mission to ensure leadership development can be accessible to everyone across the UK, the programme included subsidised places for leaders working in Wales and Northern Ireland.

The Emerging Leader Programme is a 6-month immersive leadership development journey aimed at social leaders with 3-6 years’ experience who are keen to build their leadership capabilities while consolidating their networks within the social sector.

As it aims to help leaders become more empowered, focused, and generous, the programme will include a series of intensive learning and development activities, including online learning, individual and peer-to-peer coaching, secondments, real-world challenges, and more. Participants will have the opportunity to develop their social leadership abilities and utilise their applied learnings in team challenges to immediately transfer the skills they gain from the programme back into their organisations.

'The programme offers a unique space to learn about ourselves and how we can impact others'
Katie McSherry Campaigner, Children North East

Commenting on the impact of the previous programme, Emerging Leader Fellow Katie McSherry, Campaigner at Children North East said: 'The programme offers a unique space to learn about ourselves and how we can impact others, alongside other inspiring professionals committed to playing bigger to change the world.'
