What our coaching participants say

Bryony Beynon VAWG Consultant and Director, Good Night Out Campaign CIC
  • 'My coach kept a record of everything I said and regularly quoted me at me. This helped me to work through things in my own mind and work out exactly where I stood.'

Frequently asked questions

  • How often would I have to meet my coach?

There are no rules. You will be completely free to make that decision. It will all depend on how you feel about your progress and your individual circumstances, and you will be able to talk this through with your coach and agree a schedule that works best for you. For example, some people find it most helpful to have a session every other week, for others every three weeks is preferable. It will all depend on the intensity of your objectives and your availability to work in-between sessions.

  • Can I choose to take individual sessions without signing for a package?

Coaching is a process in which you talk through your challenge(s) or areas of desired improvement and set actions from one session to the next. You will get the most out of coaching when you are able to invest time and effort to successfully reach your goal. We suggest a minimum of four sessions is helpful to start with. On occasions, a client may wish to arrange a single session - for instance, to use it as a sounding board to make a decision. Many clients can find this most helpful after they have worked for a period of time with a coach.

  • Can I decide not to pursue with further sessions after the introductory session?

The introductory session, or “chemistry session”, is arranged at no charge to you. It is an opportunity for you and your coach to get to know each other and for you to understand the process of coaching, and the approach that the coach will take during the sessions. Usually, by the end of the introductory session, clients really want to get going with their first coaching session. But If you feel that this might not be the right time for you, or that the coach isn’t the right fit for you, then you do not need to continue. It’s important that you find the right coach for you to work with to achieve your goals.

  • Do I need to have a clear idea of what I want to work on before I initiate contact with a Coach?

You don’t need to know exactly what to say to your coach on your very first contact. Don’t worry - and relax! Your coach will help you by asking questions and guiding you through the process. It is likely that if you want a coach, you already have some idea, or picture in mind, of the direction you want to take. Your coach is there to help you refine the route you want to take and support you to achieve a greater sense of purpose and fulfilment in life.

  • Where would we meet?

Sessions could be conducted via Skype, Zoom, or telephone. This can save time, which can be better used towards working on the action points you have set for yourself. We conduct our sessions over Skype, Zoom, or telephone. In this busy world our clients really appreciate this facility as it can save time and sessions can be arranged around busy work schedules at a time to suit. Some clients prefer to use video, but others find talking on the telephone preferable. It will be your choice to decide what works best for you.

Good luck with your coaching journey!
